Allred Unit at Wichita Falls, Texas
Kairos Prison Ministry brings the love and hope of Jesus Christ to men incarcerated at the James V. Allred Unit through meaningful relationships, prayer and a life-changing weekend experience.
Listen Listen, Love Love
Whether you are learning about Kairos for the first time, returning as a longtime friend or preparing to serve on an upcoming team, we are grateful you are here. You do not need special experience to make a difference, only a willing heart. Volunteers serve in many ways, from joining a ministry team and baking cookies to praying, preparing meals and providing financial support.
Your unique gifts can help remind someone inside the Allred Unit that they are seen, valued and never beyond the reach of God’s love. Explore our website to learn more about Kairos, discover ways to serve, support an upcoming weekend or find current team training information.
About the Allred Unit
Kairos at Allred began its Christian prison ministry activity inside the Allred Unit back in 2001 and since then has conducted numerous successful Kairos Weekends, hundreds of Prayer & Share services, and touched the lives of thousands of Allred inmates, many of whom have never officially taken part in actual Kairos ministry functions. Such is the scope and meaning of this ministry and its labor of love inside the high security Allred Unit.
